Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France – Medical Horizons S.r.l., a provider of medical devices, announced a partnership with RebrAIn, a private medical imaging company leveraging augmented intelligence (AI) to deliver an innovative service to neurosurgical centers in Italy. The service assists in identifying target areas within the brain, as visualized through MRI scans, where electrodes can be placed for Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) treatment for Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor.

It enables procedures under general anesthesia (less traumatic for patients), reduces surgical time and cost, enhances patient throughput in the operating rooms, thus increasing revenue, and ultimately expands the number of eligible patients.
